Elthia Maria Fletcher is the Cunning Woman, a member of the English magical community. While she's an intelligent, and capable woman, she holds an addiction to energy drinks (drinking the equivalent of two 24 oz. cans per day), and is moody based on how much alone time she gets.
Elthia's main profession is a freelance writer, combined with the fee she charges on supernatural cases, Elthia is quite capable of settling down with a comfortable life.
However, she doesn't believe that she deserves that life.
Galatyn is a two thousand year old spirit who bonded with Elthia. He's pragmatic, and capable of sharing his wisdom with Elthia. He bonded with Elthia, when the woman was fifteen. His preferred animal form is that of a German Shepherd.
Aside from that Galatyn has his own family, there isn't a whole lot known about his past, nor of whom he had bonded with before. As well as needing to leave Elthia's side a number of times.
Despite these mysteries, he is completely loyal to Elthia, to the point of putting his own life at risk.
